    I am a longer term holder of UMC and feel saddened that we are losing one of our best posters.

    I hope we all find alternative stocks with a brighter future than UMC. I can't believe that UMC's fate has been sealed in such a way, we all know how much it's worth to BHP, and it's surely more than $1.30 a share. I am still holding on for the moment, but might reduce my holding over time.

    Looking for a stock(s) now to buy into where I can forsee the Board actually wanting to take it through to production!!
