and jax, if that couple wanted to run a publicly listed comapny, I would want to know that they were bankrupt at some point. They may have had all their eggs in one basket, they may have over extended on loans, they may have had the wool pulled over their eyes, regardless, if you are handling other peoples money, you should go through the wringer beforehand and let the people providing the new funds decide...
