We need to have a day were the nation comes together as a nation. My heritage is part scot, part pom, part italian and probably part something else. If I have aboriginal blood in me I don't know & don't care.
I am Australian. I was born here so I am an Australian. My parents were born here so they are Australian.
My ancestors were born in foreign countries and they became Australian, some gave their lives for Australia.
I am so fed up with people wanting to be Aboriginal, English, Lebanese, Greek, Italian etc etc. If a person has indigenous blood in them they are no more indigenous than I am a Scot, a Pom or an Italian.
If you want to live here then be an Australian or just go to the country of whichever nationality you want to be and live there and complain about your life there.
If you are indigenous then be indigenous & go bush & live like your ancestors did.
You are either an Australian or you are not. If you are then celebrate & support our country
If you are not then then you don't deserve to benefit from the efforts of the rest of us who are and proud of it.
