Yes, but all is also dependent on the concentration of the calcium carbonate sampled and whether that carbonate was pedogenic in origin or drainage induced. The latter will give you a bum steer.
And yes, the anomaly CAN be laterally displaced a couple of hundred metres at times, generally in the direction of drainage, even in the case of a valid & genuine anomaly, and yes, generally more so if the primary source is at considerable depth.
BUT.....we know the RAB was replaced by RC/aircore a/c the swelling clays & running sands problems encountered.....and we have no mention whatsoever of what transpired there?
That makes me nervous, lol.
They are not telling us everything, and why did they can it for the present instead of continuing with the RC?
