While Len/Brad are overseas gathering acorns, here is
a gentle reminder.....
Ross Paul..April 10/10.
Bakers alternative energy investments. [abb]
"If you looked at the CSG industry a few years ago,it
was all local players, but since then, you've had big
international companies, like Shell and BG get involved.
"This has happened as the reserves in resources have
been proven up.UCG is still a way behind, but is on the
same track.
"If everything with UCG gets proven up,then it could
be a bigger industry than CSG.
------------------------------
Linc was set up by Len Walker and partnered initially,
by Government owned CS energy, with Richard Cottie at
the helm.Under Len's watch,Linc completed the most
successful UCG field test in the Western World.
Walker had agreements with CS energy for UCG to provide
electric power to the grid. However Richard Cottie pulled
the pin,leaving Len Walker/Blinderman without a rudder.
Len Walker then resigned from Linc and Cottie took up
a position with QGC,[BG].Resulting in the CSG lobby
aiming their arrows at [then]Qld energy minister Geoff
Wilson,to stifle UCG development, and delay licencing
procedures. [imo]
However,Stephen Robertson,is now Energy Minister with
a more liberal approach and with Martin Ferguson on
several occasions stating that CSG and UCG are crucial
for Australia's "energy security"..the dawn is visible.
But,when companies such as Cougar having to battle greed,
self interest and stupidity on a daily basis just to survive,
one wonders how the "lucky Country" came into being.
For we now have Cougars top men in a foreign country
cap in hand, to raise capital/JV for our "ENERGY SECURITY".
Time for action Martin Ferguson..for you cannot open
your mouth and let the wind blow your tongue around for
ever,a politicians mind needs to be a reasoning tool not a muscle.
