Love the comparison to Onetel. They were just a marketing company trying to turn into a big telco, when prices for phone calls were falling faster than Centro's shareprice. Having worked in telcos I would never invest in one. When OneTel went bust their assets were worthless.

If Centro goes under the fund management business might be worthless in the long run (will still operate under receivership), but those shopping centres will still be standing and open and people will still be buying from them oblivous to the fact that the company has gone under.
