have been watching from a distance for many years - still not the time to buy imo.
clearly the model of buying companies in difficulty and fixing them up simply does not work. they appear to buy distressed companies that stay that way for years. compare this to Berkshire Hathaway, the clothing company, which eventually was closed down. this was a learning curve for Buffett and he only bought good companies after that.
clearly until Sir Ron and Garry depart l doubt things will change on the board. l want to see them start selling assets and returning funds to shareholders first. maybe next year some time.
