I actually agree with you HT. To clarify, when I said I don't think he was serious, I didn't mean that the original offer wasn't genuine. What I meant was that their was no follow through, negotiation or any cash laid down, which doesn't seem like a serious offer to me. That doesn't mean it lacks strategic application. He may have been testing the water to see how strong any opposition to the deal was, by whom and how much he might have to pay to secure it and who he might have to win over. It seemed more like testing the water. That doesn't rule acquisitions out. It only rules them in if it's for the right price at the right time. The price nor the time were right. I think we both agree on that.
