    director12,
'i' have read, and will respond to, 'your' post, because unlike some others, you have not broken out into an emotional jehova-like tantrum.
that is one attribute that is admirable about alexander the great, when he spoke with diogenes of sinope

    wikipedia:

Amun (also Amon, Amen, Greek ?µµ?? Ámmon, ?µµ?? Hámmon) was a local deity of Thebes

amen was naturally part of Tutankhamen's name.
in perspective, changing one letter makes no real difference
but one can choose to believe that it does.

    check this out: Amenism
    [extract]
Amen and his consort Ament or Amenit are mentioned in the Pyramid Texts (UNAS, line 558), where they are grouped with Nau and Nen, and with the two Lion gods Shu and Tefnut. This Amen was regarded as an ancient nature-god by the priests of Heliopolis under the Vth dynasty, and it is possible that many of his attributes were transferred at a very early period to Amen, the great god of Thebes.
    ...
    [also worth noting is that]
Judging by what is said in the Hymn to Aten, the origin, nature and attributes of Aten closely resemble those of Amen. Both gods are identified with the oldest gods in Egypt. Each is declared to be self-created and not to have been born, therefore not begotten, and to each is applied the epithet "ONE."

    Atenist heresy

"During the latter part of the eighteenth dynasty, the pharaoh Akhenaten (also known as Amenhotep IV) disliked the power of the temple of Amun and advanced the worship of the Aten, a deity whose power was manifested in the sun disk, both literally and symbolically"

    ...

"The introduction of Atenism under Akhenaton constructed a "monotheist" worship of Aten in direct competition with that of Amun. Praises of Amun on stelae are strikingly similar in language to those later used, in particular the Hymn to the Aten:"

there is strong reason to doubt that the catholic encyclopedia is going to tell you that amen has anything to do with an egyptian god image
that's like asking a thief if they stole anything from you.
the so-called 'catholic' 'church' evolved/evolves as a fusion, (or accomodation) of many beliefs, and some odd doctrines evolved/evolves.

as with all culture(s) (or cult-you-are(s)) there is the literal and the mythical or mystical, the majority of adherents go with the literal, because it reinforces the notion of the self.
in other words, "you" can go to heaven
but such a limitation is far from satisfactory or non-problematic
even the pharaohs (and the pharaohsees) didn't get the deeper meaning, as they had 'their' slaves murdered and buried with them, in the belief that they were going to take it and 'their' gold with them.

anyway, imo, this stuff is worth checking out if one is really interested in questioning what one believes, otherwise one is free to believe in jehoover and "that's right"
    (just about a LOL there)

just the as changing one letter does not necessarily change much in the word amen or amun, changing one letter of the word sun or son, doesn't necessarily change anything.

jesus is/was the sun of god,
    amen
    - a vessel empty of self, but full of the light of god (not the darkness of the puppet, jehova)
