A wink from the universe...Artemis on ABC last night.

( err....." parasangs " - some lingistic effect here at work )

As in..... Last night Michael Portillo was discussing the fall of the Old Religion in Rome & Constantinople and visited the site of the Temple of Artemis in Ephesus not too many parasangs from Smyrna. Only one pillar remains but a reconstruction of the original Temple was
actually shown for a brief time(on TV).It was also one of
the Seven Wonders of the World along with the pyramids &
Colossus etc. Greek Artemis was concerned with hunting but
the Ionian (?)or Lydian(?) Artemis concentrated on fertility- her statues having multiple breasts, eggs. The head of Zeus was found lying in one of her courtyards -
which is interesting & raises a few questions.

Sure to be a prolific result in the Artemision Down Under.
