It works on closing price and volume

Because the volume was so extreme in Jan 2010 and the price gains were so large 500-1000% it hasn't been distributed so much more so the price has traded in a range inside this initial large volume bar in jan 2010

So more so a long term consolidation than distribution (the distribution when transocean sold was absorbed by another large current holder ;) )

That is why IMO this the start of a significant upwards move that I think will last.

It is good to see when stocks move out if big base consolidations
