    I'm not holding my breathe.
    Mainly because changing the policy is not going to be a vote winner. Any green-leaning voters hate anything that supports gas. Cost-conscious consumers are too stupid to get their heads around the fact that allowing exports (within certain limits) may lower the domestic price of gas. It's sad that sensible policy changes are so hard to push through.
    I imagine Labor would only support changes before the election if they have bipartisan support (i.e. nullifying the political downside risks).
