Facts are we cannot retain OUR country and have silly prices for domestic real estate. The allocation of scarce financial resources is a zero sum game. Either we use them to punt up the prices of real estate - or we invest in OUR country. Can't do both.
Speak with your MP! Tell him/her to close the negative gearing tax loophole, remove all the other tax and social security lurks that divert funds from owning OUR country into ultimately worthless real estate. And do it now- before it's too late!
This year (FY2010) alone, the negative gearing loophole will remove $6 billion from tax revenues - about what the Ruddswan mining super tax will yield in a good year.
