Another thought in a larger sense is this could be a pump and dump. If they believe deals are imminent then they announce the deal then pop some of the credit lines at a higher SP.
They now can show AbbVie that their backs are not against the wall, do a better deal for Imperium, and use stealth tapping of the credit lines when the SP raises on the deal announcements.
Capital is expensive. However if played right it could become much cheaper.
