I wish this tax stuff was on a special thread so I could ignore all of this and not have it clog up this thread. Franking credits for a starter are at company tax rates which are 27.5% in Australia. Now before someone criticizes that, just do a google search first. They are a refund to the receiver for tax already paid. Just like you do not receive your gross wage, you have tax deducted for which you get a credit on it. Any surplus tax credits above what is owed if refundable.
