Given 50% of tin usage is solder, are there any substitutes?

Unlikely by the sounds of it. Tin solder us still a cheap form if joining two pieces of metal.

But not necessarily. There must be substitutes. New bends, new rivets, new alloys.

Did someone mention electrics? What is tins role in electrics? News to me.

Hope the Indonesians don't increase their production, legally or otherwise.
Is it based on legal restraints? Or better still just lack of tin resource?

Also I would like to see a positive drilling result on the gold prospect in Heazewood Hill in Tasmania. That would be a bonus.
