Something funny is happening in the tin market. According to the UK press, one fund has acquired warrants over more than 90% of all phsical tin stocks on the LME in the last week. Combined with the fact that Indonesia has apparently started a fresh crack-down on illegal tin mining, and with the fact that Chinese imports have more than doubled so far this year, it could be that someone is taking a rather gutsy bet! Whatever, if it's true, it is hopefully a positive for MLX, particularly if their production difficulties are being successfully addressed.
