Did the same early last year inc Queenstown also. Lots of people there wanting lots of jobs as they wanted to work ratehr than reoly on taxpayer handouts.
Was actually a nice change in the area since last visit. Prior time I wouldn't have left the car doors unlocked.
This time there was a nice country town vibe with an air of quiet confidence. Trees had started to grow again in the hills and in the shops people were talking about the jobs coming up 'after the election'.
Now Snotty and team have put a dent in 2013 jobs and incomes obviously, but hopefully 2014 will be better for the locals, with a ramp up in this first half.
