Just a little example to illustrate how high a value low tonnage metal Sn is.
One day I was sent over to Greenbushes to do some floatation testwork. At that point, Greenbushes produced Sn as well as Li. (The Sn now largely exhausted). As professional courtesy met to met, the lady showed me around their Sn circuit. We ended at the smelting room where I was shocked to see a roughly 1m circular, electric arc furnace, was all they used to smelt their Sn at the end. They did it on a campaign (batch) basis every few days when they collected enough. (That also answers the question why I am quite confident why Sirosmelt can be used for Sn recovery in the middlings or Rentials).

They had a little solvent extraction Electrowin (Sx/Ew) circuit too, the type that is going to be used by CYM for the oxide Cu ore from Nifty and Maroochydore.
