We all talk about gold, but it is a very difficult thing to mine, often. Tin however is the metal of the world of electronics. Some of the worlds largest mines are nearing the end of their lives. Lead has been removed from solder because of health concerns. Demand will soon substantially exceed supply and recycling electronic components is expensive. It has shrugged of the decline in commodity prices and is trending up, medium to long term. Australia has been a tin province but only one substantial producer who is proving up new reserves underground at a very good rate. It now has $4billion worth of unmined reserves at Renison in Tasmania. Plus old tailing that have not been touched yet with still more. Metals Exploration (MLX) owns half of Renison noo debt, good cash reserves and is expanding rapidly. It is now an instant gold miner too with two established mines in WA bought from a US operation for very little and they are strongly cash flow positive, even at current prices. Indonesia ia big producer proportionally is cutting back exports with a view to the future.
