The AWU is calling on the Greens to 'back off' over demands for obstacles to be put in the way of continuing coal mining which sustains a power plant supplying Alcoa at Pt Hency
AWU Victorian Secretary Cesar Melhem said the Victorian and Federal Governments must act decisively to renew an Alcoa licence to mine coal near Angelsea, and protect 1,000 Victorian jobs at Point Henry.
