'this is a massive vote of confidence for the 2.5-3bt BM project which has existing rail and port access. Mantle showing it is at the right place at right time.
The age of coal dewatering techs is upon us, where coal can be upgraded for less cost than traditional black coal mining. It won't be long until the market catches on, the big players like Tinkler and Gomez are already staking their claim in this future boom.'
100% agree Vert.
And the point for MNM is that whether or not exergen commit to the proposed BM JV, or an LV JV, or a merger, we still have 5 or 6 billions tonnes of Victorian brown coal in the two key locations.
The transition of Victorian brown coal into an export product over the next few years now looks certain.
* Victorian and Federal Government backing and policy enablement.
* Global scale technologies like exergen & RWE perfected.
* Global scale funders set to commit on the back of huge projected demand from India for thermal coal for electricity generation.
The in ground value of MNM's Victorian brown coal is being ignored. That will change after the new S7 allocations and associated Government agenda is announced in the next few weeks.
