I get this offer too - don't have any kids yet so no need for a subscription.
These kinds of offers are common in SaaS subscription models to incentivise non-paying customers or inactive users to become customers.
Not all users get the same offer - we are sent different offers based on our level of engagement.
Basically we're in a cohort of users that are not paying so the logic goes "better to get money than nothing".
I do think the company could do a few more tricks with this particular strategy but perhaps it's a case of maximising ROI from the development team.
