I have been mulling over the oil flow rates announced.
They also talked about 11 million CFD "dissolved gas"
It occurs to me that the entrained gas would come out of solution as the hydrostatic pressure reduced. This would then result in the oil column being lighter having the result of maybe increasing the flow rate to the surface.
I believe that this enhanced oil recovery technique is sometimes used where structures tend to be tight.
I dont know if excessive gas released in the column flow may be a good thing or bad ?
