So at a $50 spend that is equal to a 20% credit against an Uber fare you may use in the future. If my spend is $250 4%. In Couponland-USA that would not seem very attractive to me.
Clipp Card in Australia offers a 40% cold hard cash discount once you hit a certain spending level and without ALH Group coming on board and a $5m PE investment they were toast. 4 years down the track only 50-100k Android installs and bearing in mind the delete rate of apps they may only have less than 10k active users.
