Why are people buying tir @ 8c and selling tirn @ 7.1c?In my...

    Why are people buying tir @ 8c and selling tirn @ 7.1c?

    In my mind (simple as it may be) the tirn are better value, tir settle t+3 (9/2) and the tirn (tir deferred settlement) don't settle until 18/2/05, that's 9 days free funding for the same stock and you can still sell them whenever you want to..
    Am I missing something, would someone like to explain it for me?
