My spies tell me that the objestion to the 3D seismic has been lodged by one person on the basis that the 3D seismic will detrimentally affect the breeding cycle of the crayfish.
The information that I have been given is that there are none or only small numbers of crayfish in the area so any seismic effect will not put at risk the copious Crayfish that exist on the WA coast line and the Cray fishermen do not recognise that there are Crayfish in the area.
The problem that the company faces is that they have to initiate a study to refute the claim.
This takes time.
This is just like what happened to NWE when drilling and fraccing A2.
