My friends,
It has been a busy week for Tiresias. First, the solstice - the Sun touched its tropic and has now entered Capricorn. Venus is in a beautiful crescent. Tiresias has also been looking at the comet Leonard, near Venus. The light pollution, in spite of Tiresias’s powerful Newtonian, does diminish the view of this solar visitor.
Christmas has been a quiet time for Tiresias, as most of his family are overseas in Europe and America. Tiresias wishes that you, all his friends, have had a restful, happy, and healthy entree into the holiday season and that you enjoy this holiday, whatever creed you may be. Tiresias is of course an acolyte and prophet of Apollo, but Tiresias himself is omni-theistic. It might be in questionable taste, at this time of meditation and reflection, to talk of matters material, and matters Optiscan, that interest and bind us, but be sure this is not far from the front of Tiresias’s sight. Tiresias regularly consults Tyche and sees her beneficent smile, and thus looks forward to our next lap around the sun with confidence and excitement.
