Tiresias: Nobody actually understands yet

My friends,

Tiresias realizes that he is a little loquacious in his epistles. Today he will be less expansive and make three points. He will be brief and leave the interpretation to his friends.

First, very few people understand what Optiscan Confocal Laser Endomicroscopy (CLE) Real-time Digital In-Vivo AI-enabled intra-operative and in clinic cancer screening, cancer diagnosis, and cancer surgery is. There are a few cognoscente amongst Tiresias’s readers who do have an understanding, but the vast majority have neither heard of Optiscan nor its technology. Tiresias has heard shareholders ask, “why doesn't the company present to stockbrokers?”. My friends, they have. But, my friends, Tiresias knows stockbrokers. Stockbrokers are a dim lot. They have the attention span of a gnat. They have no scientific or medical knowledge, and worse, they are unable, unwilling and uninterested in learning. They cannot read a paragraph at one sitting. Their only interest is clipping the tickets of their diminishing share of the trades and churning and burning the long-suffering clients. Forget trying to teach them anything. They will come a scrambling in due course.

The second and very interesting piece of information that came to Tiresias’s attention this week is that the Optiscan MD/CEO, qualified medicine oral specialist and histopathologist, after presenting at the American Academy of Oral Medicine (AAOA), in Memphis Tennessee, was invited, unsolicited, and paid for, by the Saudi Arabian Commission for Health, to give the keynote address, and teach clinicians, exploring the diagnosis and management of oral cancer and precancerous pathology, and discuss the new pathways and the utility of technologies, notably Optiscan’s Real-time Digital pathology, in the diagnosis and management of oral cancer and precancer. It would not be possible for Tiresias to overstate the incidence, the importance of oral cancer and precancer as a major health issue in the Arab World, and throughout Asia and Africa and most of the world population. Oral cancer is a major health problem Saudi Arabia, it is important to understand that Saudi Arabia also has a very advanced highly developed, high technology, better than most developed countries, health care system. It is not to mention the fact that money for health in Saudi Arabia, is essentially unlimited. Tiresias leaves the implications of his friends to contemplate.

The third issue is that of the share price and the persistent selling. My friends, we all know who is selling. My friends we all know how the current sellers acquired their shares. They are slowly being ground out. Tiresias suspects that they want to be taken out at higher prices, but buyers like Tiresias’s friends, would not want to reward this. Tiresias is not vindictive, but he doesn’t like rewarding the undeserving either.
