My friends,

Tiresias's spends time in his Asclepiad, to meditate, to contemplate, and to dream. Most of all to dream and to dream the future. Often, when asleep, he is enthused in his dreams by his patrons, by Apollo and by Asclepius. Sometimes the gods are silent. Sometimes the visions are very clear, and the road ahead is wide and straight, with signs pointing the way. This last week the god’s showed Tiresias Blaise Pascal, the French mathematician, physicist, and mystic. This they showed with Pascal reminding Tiresias of one of his most famous quotes. Tiresias was looking for inspiration on his favourite topic; Optiscan confocal laser-endomicroscopy microscopy, real-time digital pathology, and screening and treatment of cancer. Tiresias was contemplating that there have been some big changes in the company of times recent. Tiresias understands that his friends are champing at the bit for some news of progress. But what Pascal counsels, Tiresias would share with his friends,

“All of humanity’s problems stem from man’s inability to sit quietly in a room.”

Even Tiresias gets impatient, but this is a time to sit quietly a little longer.
