The majors drilled deep holes into the Cargo intrusion itself looking for Intrusion contained mineralisation such as seen at Cadia Hill, they only got low grade and walked away. We are drilling for Intrusion centred mineralisation where the mineralisation is centred around the margins of the intrusion such as see at Ridgeway and Cadia East. Golden Cross found Spur but did not recognise the significance of these late stage epithermal veins in the big scheme of things. WTM recognises the import and their relation to underlying Porphyry mineralisation.
It can take up to 6 companies to go through an area before the discovery is made. I have seen papers form early 2000's describing Cowal as a sub-economic deposit but today it is a 11moz resource and EVNs jewel in the crown. The drill bit here will do the talking.
