Tissue Therapies (ASX: TIS) provides wound healing, tissue repair and cell culture technology through a novel growth factor platform technology, VitroGro®. VitroGro® is an animal product free, MULTIMERIC DELIVERY SUSTEM FOR GROWTH FACTORS, enhancing cell replication, protein synthesis and migration.
Forgive me if the above misleads me to believe it is not enhanced with growth factors. If no growth factors injvolved wouldn't it be described as simply a cell migration platform.
If the vitrogro is not absorbed into the tissue then I can only imagine the cell migration occurs between the vitrogro and the tissue. By all accounts the cell migration attaches to the scaffold of vitrogro, so for it not to be absorbed then that original layering of cells would have to be discarded eventually by a skin shedding method, because it does become part of the new tissue at least initially, as the diagrams of cell attachment suggest.
Perhaps you can enlighten us on this process as you may be an insider to know the detail expressed. Detail like that has not been made public to my knowledge, but may have missed it. There are many of us interested in the detail.
If the vitrogro isn't absorbed into the body/wound repair, then what would be the issue.
Most other recombanint proteins I am aware of are growth factors including insulin, which is also a peptide which vitrogro is said to be, at least of amino acids.
Maybe the company has lodged it as a non growth factor scaffold, but someone has looked at it and said "Hang on, this is like a hormone growth factor."
