Is there a substantial and near term opportunity for Ipx to supply titanium for marine military assets such as submarines and intelligence gathering and attack drones. Titanium’s strength, lightness and corrosion resistance allowed Russia to develop two classes of titanium hulled submarines called Sierra 1 and Sierra 2 in the 1970s and 1980s. These submarines were the fastest (40 knots) and deepest diving subs ever developed and were superior to any of NATO’s submarines.

there may be difficult technical problems that will make it difficult for the west to develop titanium hulled military equipment but we can be sure that the Chinese will be working at top speed. It is easy to imagine a 100,000 tonne market at least for the next generation of submarines and drones.
