So much respect all of a sudden.. What specifically do you think is wrong? That the share price got bid up due to expectation of announcements? That the expectation (if it was there in the first place) got disappointed? I have no prof for that, but neither does anyone who claims the share price dropped due to shorting. In the end, its just speculation in the absence of information. I am pointing that out more than anything else.
