Personally, I'd love to have a small off-take deal for like 2 ktpa (if any battery companies were interested in low tonnage) - just as a reassurance to investors, but I wouldn't want a fixed-price off-take deal for much more tonnage than that. Look what's going on with inflation.

The off-take deal that Tesla signed with Piedmont looks like an absolute steal for Tesla right now. Compare that to Pilbara who kept their spodumene uncommitted and are now are making bank auctioning it to the highest bidder at record prices. Most off-take deals in this space are being negotiated from positions of weakness, not strength. The price on anode is only going up from here. Better to wait on the off-take deal (unless there are provisions to guarantee price increasing with the market).
