It's a typical "environmentalist lefty" narrative. They want all the pro's of a green transition without actually doing anything themselves. These types of people are either self motivated in some way or blind to how the world works because they don't see where all the minerals for their nice things actually come from. I've said it before, its classic "not in my backyard" mentality that we see from these types of people. They all cry about governments doing nothing or the rich doing nothing to support a green transition and yet here they are trying to stop such a transition themselves. Unfortunately they could still be pests even if the permits are an all clear it seems.
I hope the EU and the national government have the guts to step in further if anything escalates from these mobs as otherwise they will indeed look like an embarrassment with all talk and no walk.
