All speculation here, but it does seem highly specific to have a graphite export boycott on Sweden. Is it a coincidence that Sweden are the most advanced country in Europe in terms of the green transition (including anode production)? Perhaps the Swedish Presidency of the EU shone a light on the green industrial transition that is occurring in the north?
The plan is to disrupt, but it does play into Talga's hands, once again highlighting how critical securing the supply of graphite/anode is in a time of weaponised supply chains. China has proven to be unpredictable and willing to cut off supply at any moment.
