This podcast seems timely after my mention (hope) of bifurcation of graphite & anode pricing yesterday.
"Getting paid appropriately for the standard at which you produce something" sums it up well
Fair to say that this should apply to Talga more than almost any other project I can think of (at least based on the life cycle cost assessment of 92% less CO2e than Chinese competition - not based on the spec/performance of the product which we still can't really know).
Some talk about the competitiveness of the EU EV manufacturers but nothing graphite specific sadly, despite listing off the usual (cathode) critical battery minerals. Basically the sooner the better for Talga to become a price-maker instead of a price-taker. It seems like the stars are aligning within the EU, just unfortunate that it's currently happening on an astronomical timescale.
