I think this is a really good point. SYR is up 80% (!) from when the China news broke on Friday morning. BUT even after that leap Syrah is still down 65% in the last 12 months.
I've updated my table on the 12 month returns below which now accounts for the China rally. Imperfect obviously because there have been a lot of ups and downs (particularly for Talga) in that time.
tl;rd: it's bad but could be worse
