yep, China restricting graphite exports helps them in two ways. 1. Reduces the cost of domestic supply and drives the cost competiveness if Chinese batteries/ EVs. 2. Increases the cost to Western manufacturers. It's a smart strategy that will help them dominate the nascent industry- volume production wins. It's a big win for talga as they have a rare commodity and will be able to charge a premium. Syrah can ramp up quickly hence the massive pop yesterday.
