Why was it foolish? Did you know the details of the JV? The finance options that are available now were not available back when that MOU was formed. A JV with Mitsui wouldn't have sped up the court process, meaning Talga would still be in the position it is in today, but with Mitsui likely owning a fat chunk. There has been no delay to the timeline as a result of a deal not eventuating with Mitsui.
Things can always go faster, but we've just seen the EU getting things done with their matching aid ruling, preventing a mass exodus of their battery industry. In March we will also see the CRMA come into law in record time.
