Nouveau Monde Graphite (NMG) grade is just over 4% compared to Talga's 23.8%. They do have proximity to the American market and the capital available there, but how much of the company had to be given up for that funding. The capex numero is eye watering. They are still a graphite company rather than an anode supplying company like Talga. I do not quite understand how they get to 43K tons of anode material from just over 100k tons of concentrate, the material that is produced at the first stage of separation of raw ore to graphite; what Talga will be doing on the Vitangi site before advanced processing to meet customer specifications at the Lulea production plant. NMG mine resource/reserve is also much smaller than what Talga has at Nunnasvaara, never mind what lies at Niska.
I can only surmise that the NMG capitalisation is either hype or Talga is grossly underpriced by the market.
As always please do your own research and draw your own conclusions. I know which of the two I would rather hold.
