For me it's the old guard who just don't wanna let go of ice, but also do not wanna go through the cost of new factories. Maybe they are in too deep also with the oil companies. They have started talking about more efficient engines and carbon neutral fuel, next they will start talking about carbon capture underground, and planting more trees. All this just sounds like the death throes of an industry which will not let go of the past.

As long as Europe keep to their legislation they have no chance in succeeding, even the UK only extended their ban by 5 years. But with labour coming in this could easily be reversed.

With so much negative press being pushed at the moment I am waiting for smoking to start having positive health benefits as well.
