I can't see it taking the SC a year to make a simple YES/NO decision as to whether an appeal will be allowed. It surely can't be that complicated for them to make such a decision. The legal criteria that must be met for an appeal were only only a couple of technical issues, if I remember correctly. I find it absoluetely incredible that this process should last more than a month at all. If I was to take that amount of time to take a similar decision in my job, I would be sacked for poor management practice and inefficiency.
