Nobody is anywhere near commercialising an all silicone anode that's anywhere near affordable enough, safe enough and reliable enough. Silicone will be no more than 5-10% of the anode til at least 2030 in mainstream batteries (i.e. 95% of batteries made). If we see an average of <20% silicone in BESS and EV anodes by 2035 I'll be blown away. The incentive just isn't there.
Graphite is here to stay for the short, medium and long term.
