A planning order with no new mining tax may be on the cards.
In an article published today, with mostly rehashed information about the municipality's obstruction, municipal councilor Mats Taaveniku wants the government to introduce an extraction tax for mines, however:
"Energy and Industry Minister Ebba Busch writes in a comment to DN that there is currently no work underway that would entail a special mining tax. But that the government does not rule out other measures that could increase local willingness to say yes to mines."
