So many advantages for the municipality, but they obviously just want more - which is sort of fair enough...
They're obviously not anti-mining, as a quick look at Google maps will attest. I wonder what benefits (apart from jobs, taxes and economic benefit) flowed to them from the massive mine on the doorstep of Kiruna township, or from the LKAB Berg and Betong mine for example? Maybe Swedish companies haven't been held over a barrel to the same extent?
Who knows. I'm not usually this suspicious but I'm just over it atm!
