Just relating to the Talga Talnode-C product Semmel the really big difference is the conversion from ore to AAM ( activated anode material). It’s also referred to as CSGr ( coated spherical graphite).
With Talga conversion is over 80%. After purifying of course.
China is probably 15%. So Chinese companies have to process around 500% more graphite to get to the same amount of anode! Huge waste and cost, and carbon footprint. It’s all to do with the quality of the Vittangi graphite allowing particular processing avenues.
Carbon atoms very small and the shape they bond in 6 lattice shape stacked nicely or not and also can link with other elements causing issues. It’s this hexagon shape ( flake ) that needs to be be rounded so it works evenly with the electrolyte. Sounds easy - it’s not!
The composite particle or ‘mesoparticle ‘ is the Talnode -Si product.
