No worries. The magic is also the coating. You want a coating that maximises the genetic abilities of that particular graphite , but also needs to work to engage with the cathode in an balanced way. As well the OEM’s specifics. So what power , range, voltage, temperature conditions etc.
So in microns what thickness, how smooth ( makes big difference) and composition, what salts , binders, solvents and maybe metals ( aluminium for a good SEI- 1st cycle?).Everything needs to work together.
This coating needs to facilitate the formation of a stable SEI layer on the coating on 1st cycle or the cell will degrade and collapse as the electrolyte will cause coating to crack, enter the cell and then you’ve got a big KAPUT!
