All intereting ideas that have not been proven at commercial scale. Im sure we can all agree that needle coke for syntehtic graphite is will be used for over 90% of synthetic graphite production in the next 10 years. Thats why the recent invesment into NVX suring up their needle coke supply was a great thing for them.

Needle coke demand surge via the battery boom will put graphite in compeition of steel production. Which will increase steel costs, and battery costs.

Synthetic has a place in the future, a 50% share in anode production.

To say that natural graphite is not needed in the comming demand surge and synthetic can fufill all demand is plainly wrong. It would skyrocket anode prices, fuelling more investment in natural to get costs lower.

Your right that Talga is competing in cost and quality, the low emissions is just the icing on the cake but this helps attract a higher potenial margin as the end user can also do marketing around 'lowest emission car' on the planet, also if upstream emission testing becomes a thing...looking at you E.U. Then this will help OEMs also offset taxes for the sale of their ICE vehicles.
